Maintains customer specifications files; reviews customer drawings and data; translates customer language into standard procedures and product flow.
Edit and format technical data for use in documents or sections of documents such as manuals, procedures, and specifications. Ensure technical documentation is accurate, complete, meets editorial and government specifications and adheres to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format and style. May assist in establishing style guidelines and standards for texts and illustrations.
Performs word processing and editing of documents to ensure all are prepared in accordance with contract requirements, department standards, and guidelines. This effort may be required for classified and unclassified documents. Performs Word Processing Work with Data Managers/Tech Writers and various engineering disciplines to ensure on-time delivery of data. Excellent teamwork skills.
Assists processing new and revised Forms and Templates.
Performs DM Review of classified and unclassified analyses.
Documents and maintains desktop procedures and user guides for use of organizational tools and program access
Provides IT support of CM/DM computers in classified areas and performs compliance checks. Work with IT on access control limitations to DM Controlled folders as new programs are instantiated.
Ability to utilize a broad range of software applications and conversion tools to access and integrate technical documentation. Software includes Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teamcenter, and Adobe Acrobat.
Demonstrates a good understanding of document structure, familiarity with large documents and presentations, templates, styles, table of contents, etc.
Education & Experience
High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.
Salary Range: $45,800 - $76,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
