Job Description:
Job Summary: Develop and maintain an extensive collection of aircraft maintenance manuals and technical information.
Essential Job Duties:
- Acquire manuals, standards, and other publications necessary.
- Catalog all materials into a database or information system.
- May create abstracts, bibliographies, and metadata to classify documents.
- Manage access [accounts] to library related electronic systems for employees and to external sources.
- Customer Focused – Driven to understand customer needs and improve processes.
- Communicate with all levels of the organization to develop a comprehensive library in support of company, flight, and maintenance operations.
- Uphold FAA and 21 Air standards of quality.
- Must be able to work on complex tasks with limited assistance.
- Promote and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Technical Publications department, including procedures, quality control, workflow, and tools.
Secondary Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Technical Publications.
Requirements Job Qualifications:
Minimum:
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Communications, Research, English, or related field. Relevant work experience may be substituted.
- Must be fluent in English – read, write, speak and understand.
- Must have excellent oral, written, organizational, and problem-solving skills with an attention to details.
- Must be a team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Must be available for overtime and/or to work a flexible schedule, as job requirements dictate.
Preferred:
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat.
- Two years of experience in a government regulated industry.
- Thorough knowledge of 14 CFR Parts 119, 121, and 145 FAA regulations and related requirements and specifications.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit and work effectively at a computer for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work assigned schedule with minimal absences.
