About the Company
The Vermont Flight Academy was created to promote general aviation through a program of high-quality flight training provided at a competitive cost. Organized as a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation, we focus on flight training as an educational process in every sense of the word. We accomplish this through a dedicated group of instructors that provide expertise in all areas of flight training and help students to master the basics of fundamental aviation knowledge in addition to carefully and sequentially developing their practical skills as pilots.
VFA is an approved FAR part 141 Pilot School. With this approval we are able to offer a standardized flight training program with educational and economic benefits to our students. Students can complete the Instrument Rating and Commercial Certificates under part 141. Additionally, we provide aircraft and flight training services to Vermont Technical College in support of their 4-year Professional Pilot degree. Beyond these formalized offerings, VFA also offers FAR part 61 flight training for nearly every certificate, rating, and endorsement. We will also offer training in advanced simulators.
Whether you plan to become a professional pilot or simply want to fly for fun as a Private Pilot, we will provide the training to accomplish your goals.
